At Christian Health Benefits, we believe in transparency and honesty. It's essential for our members and potential members to understand the nature of our health sharing ministry and the terms of participation. Below, you will find important disclosures regarding our services.
Christian Health Benefits is not an insurance company, nor do we offer insurance policies. Our program is a healthcare cost-sharing ministry where members share medical expenses according to established guidelines. As such, participation in our program should not be considered a substitute for health insurance.
Membership in Christian Health Benefits is entirely voluntary. By joining, members agree to share medical expenses with others in the community, and understand that there is no contractual obligation for members to contribute toward each other’s medical costs. Contributions are made voluntarily, and there is no guarantee of payment.
While we strive to support our members and share their eligible medical expenses, Christian Health Benefits does not guarantee the payment of medical bills. The sharing of expenses is dependent on the voluntary contributions of all members and the guidelines set forth by the ministry.
Members must comply with the guidelines and requirements established by Christian Health Benefits. These guidelines outline the types of medical expenses that are eligible for sharing, the process for submitting bills, and the responsibilities of members. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in the non-sharing of certain medical expenses.
As a faith-based organization, Christian Health Benefits requires members to agree with and uphold our Statement of Faith. This statement reflects the core beliefs and values that guide our community and its operations.
Christian Health Benefits is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our members. Personal and medical information provided to us is used solely for the purpose of administering the health sharing program and is not shared with third parties without the member’s consent, except as required by law.
Tax Implications
Members should consult with a tax professional regarding the tax implications of their contributions to Christian Health Benefits. Contributions are not deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes.
Changes to Guidelines
Christian Health Benefits reserves the right to modify or update the sharing guidelines and other program details as necessary. Members will be notified of any significant changes and are expected to adhere to the updated guidelines.
